Bible Teaching and Preaching
Unless someone has learnt
something, nobody's taught! We'll use many different ways of
communicating the dynamic truths of the Christian gospel. Be
prepared for drama, dance, short talks and, sometimes, long
sermons! We use them all at Bristo.
Junior Church
Our morning celebration
begins at 11.00am for worship and a family style service,
then the children leave around 11.40am for their own Junior
Church for age related Bible teaching and activities. The
children are divided into small groups, meeting with one or
two leaders in our various halls. Each group uses
material suitable for their age. Ages catered for in
this way are 3yrs to 12yrs. The material gives blocks of six
weeks' teaching on a theme, varying the Old Testament, New
Testament and topics. Another group meets for teenage boys
and girls. They use their own
material. Most years a holiday club is organised for primary
aged children, usually during the October break.
Youth
There is a youth club for
young people aged ten and over, that meets every Friday from 7.45 to 9.45pm. Activities are selected from
football, volleyball, badminton, snooker,
unihoc and other team games. There is no charge for the club
but sweets, crisps and drinks are available for sale during
the break.
To find out when the club is
on please contact Matt.
