Our main service of the week takes place at 11am. Our services are fairly informal; we will sing modern and traditional songs, listen to a sermon and have time for prayer and ministry. On regular occasions people will give testimonies and twice a month we will have communion.
We aim to finish our service around 12:20pm, allowing time for coffee, biscuits, chat and prayer ministry.
The children leave for their Crèche or Sunday school class around 11:30am and return at the end of the service.
More information is found here if you have not visited Bristo before.
Praise and Worship
The Praise Band is comprised of people from our fellowship. Each week we like to have a singer supported by a variety of instruments (currently violin, keyboard, acoustic & bass guitar, drums, saxophone, clarinet) to lead the praise.
The group is involved in the praise in the morning service and operates a rota so that there may be different faces and instruments each week.
It is usually someone in the group who selects the songs for the services. This is important to ensure that they are suitable for the instrument mix we have on a particular Sunday. The selection is based on the theme for the sermon, but we also like to ensure a variety of styles and tempo. We like to keep up to date with new songs but hold on to the best of the older ones.
